Just about every smartphone and tablet has a touch screen. This make sense and isn’t that big of a deal. However, getting a laptop or a PC with a touch screen is quite different. Here’s a look at why you may consider a touch screen.
New Windows Versions
All of the newest versions of windows are being created with the touch screen in mind. However, this isn’t enough reason to get a touch screen as you can still use Windows 8 or even Windows 10 just fine without one.
Back up to the Mouse
Maybe you depend on your computer for your job. If this is the case, a touch screen can be a nice back up in case your mouse stops working. It’s easy to run out and buy a new mouse, but if you’re in the middle of a project, you can at least finish by using the touch screen before you head out to find a new mouse.
Some Detach and become Tablets
Not all laptops provide a detachable screen, but the ones that do give you a tablet and laptop in one. This is certainly a great reason to get a touch screen, as you may want to use it as a tablet some of the time and a laptop the rest of the time.
Added Value for a Laptop
Buying a PC with a touch screen may not provide much added value, but a laptop comes with added value when you get a touch screen. Since some laptops can double as a tablet, the touch screen makes perfect sense.
The decision to buy a PC or a laptop with a touch screen depends on what you plan to use it for. Maybe you love the touch screen idea and being able to swipe as much as you want. If so, a touch screen is a great choice. However, if you prefer the traditional keyboard and mouse set up, you may not have much use for the touch screen.
