As most people know, in the computer world, there are PC people and their are Mac people. TheMac-user PC people outnumber by Mac People by nearly 5-1, but the Mac people are a highly loyal bunch. The reason why is they rightfully judge Apple Computers and the ever popular MacBooks, iMacs and other computing platforms to be among the best and most reliable in the industry. You put a Mac person on a PC, and you just might hear many expletives aimed at Microsoft, the computer manufacturer or both. They love their Macs and the relative simplicity of the operating systems and the fast computing power combined with an outstanding monitor.

Mac vs. Windows Operating Systems

Part of the reason many Mac people don’t like Microsoft is some years ago company owner Bill Gates put out the very first version of the Windows operating system. And many Mac people, including company co-founder Steve Jobs, said it was a blatant copy of the Mac system and not nearly as good. From that time forward, there was a schism between the two camps. But now, the old wounds have healed and Microsoft provides many types of software for Macs, including the industry-leading Microsoft Office Suite.

Macs Dominate Publishing Industry

Mac computers have a well-established reputation for being highly reliable, and that makes them very popular among publishers, graphic artists, photographers and others who can’t afford to have a computer crash while working or on deadline. The stone-like reliability of the Mac operating system and the computers themselves are popular particularly among reporters who love to take their MacBooks and other Apple computers on the road with them and get work done at nearly any location or time of day or night. When the deadline nears, they are confident their Macs will perform and their work will be done on time.

Do you own or ever have used a Macintosh computer and for what primary purpose?
