Astro headsetAn American gamer gives his review on the Astro Headset and why he believes it takes the cake on all headsets in the PC gaming industry…

As a 15 year gamer, I’ve put a lot of money into buying the best equipment for my games. These days I’m strictly PC, and in the PC world you’re missing out if you’re not using a proper headset. Now I know the whole universe raves about their favorite headsets and why their superior to others. But trust me when I say I’ve tried them all and none of them compare to the efficient Astros A50 Series.

The reasons why I like Astro A50 Series starts with the design. The lightweight set is sturdy and efficient with a comfortable headband and ear couplings. The headband only puts about 3 newtons of pressure on you, so the fit is snug but not constricting. The ear couplings block out all kinds of loud noise (in my case, it’s my roommate Doug screaming at football on his new Curved TV). The ear couplings are also circumaural which means they cover your ears completely with virtually no pressure.

I also like that the cable for the Astro A50 Series is 6ft long, which is perfect for my tower set up. The Astro A50s also comes with a 1 foot release cable for a quick disconnect. The microphone can even be disconnected or moved to either side of the ear, which makes the set super versatile.

Now when it comes to sound, Astro A50 is top of the line. With an 8 speaker system, the Astro A50s burst brilliant gaming sounds. It also features a the 3.5 mm dual-jack PC connector and a 6.3 mm adapter suitable for most home theater systems and other AV set ups. You also have adjustable volume controls for both sound and microphone. I’ve heard complaints about the microphone’s sensitivity, but I’ve always had a good experience with them. Overall with the Astro A50s I’m engulfed in superior sound technology. They make my games come alive and stay alive without faulty disconnects and cheap wiring that leaves gamers disparaged. The best part is that Astro Gaming responds well to user advice and surveys, and they remodel every new headset to fit consumer needs.

These Astro A50s are the official licensed headset of MLG for a reason! If you don’t believe me, go ahead and try them for yourself. You won’t want to game any other way.
